We will discuss here about the order of fractions.

We observe that in each of the fractions the denominator is the same.

But as the value of the numerator increases, greater is the fraction, i.e.,

1/6 < 2/6 < 3/6 < 4/6 < 5/6 < 6/6

Fractions having the same denominators are called **like fractions**.

In the below picture, we observe that the numerator is the same in all the fractions.

But the value of the denominator increases.

1/1 > ½ > 1/3 > ¼ > 1/5 > 1/6

Fractions having different denominators are called **unlike fractions**.
